Prophet Muhammad - The stories and sunnah

Backstory of Muhammad Before getting into the stories and teachings, it’s important to learn the backstory of Muhammad and how he came to be a prophet.  Muhammad was born in the year 570 in the city of mecca.At this time, there were different tribes and settlements that worshipped many gods/goddesses as protectors of individual tribes, usually associated with sacred trees, rocks and springs. Mecca was caught between two large empires; the Byzantine empire and Sassanid empire. At a young age, Muhammad had a very traumatic childhood. 6 months before he was born, his father sadly passed away, and 6 years later his mother also sadly passsed away leaving him to be taken in by his grandfather.
